Rapper T.I. Saves the day

ATLANTA -- Traffic is flowing again along Peachtree Street in Midtown.

It was shut down between 13th and 15th streets just before the start of Wednesday's afternoon rush hour, at about 3:30 p.m.

Authorities had been concerned about a man who was threatening to jump off of Colony Square at Peachtree and 14th streets.

Police were able to talk him down -- with some unusual help.

Rapper T.I., also known as Clifford Harris, spoke to the man through police. Harris told 11Alive News that he came down to offer his services after radio station V103, which is based in Colony Square, told him what was happening.

Harris also met with the man after he was safely taken into police custody.

The whole ordeal lasted about an hour and a half.
